At Harbor Recovery Center, our TL program provides a bridge between residential treatment and independent living, empowering individuals to build the skills and resilience necessary for long-term recovery. In our TL program, clients have the opportunity to transition back into independent living while maintaining a structured treatment regimen. Upon transitioning, clients commit to gaining employment and contributing to their rent expenses after the initial month. During this first month, clients focus on securing employment, supported by our staff. In addition to our core treatment approaches, we provide a range of supplementary services aimed at holistic healing.

Private Event Planning

This modality involves all the elements of the traditional residential program, but with a greater emphasis on parenting skills, connecting with community resources, and household management. Strathmore House is a bright, spacious New England-style seafood restaurant Milwaukee residents and visitors love, set on the shore of Lake Michigan. Our restaurant offers a premier lakefront dining experience and the freshest seafood flown in daily from both coasts. The interior features a three-sided bar, a raw bar, an open kitchen, and a private dining room available for special events and parties. A seasonal outdoor patio features a full bar, Adirondack chairs and unparalleled views of the lake, the Milwaukee Art Museum, and Milwaukee’s skyline. TL offers a supportive environment where clients can extend their recovery journey for up to 18 months. We also offer Transitional Living (TL) housing services, on campus as well as in downtown Hot Springs, for those who complete residential care and wish to continue their treatment. TL offers a structured, supportive sober-living environment combined with outpatient treatment services to help ensure lasting success.

The Inn recently underwent an 8 year renovation which was completed in May of 2018 that blends historic charm with classic elegance. Strathmore House Hot Springs is situated in a beautiful wooded area just outside of Hot Springs National Park. We offer residential substance abuse and behavioral health services for men and women. This is a highly-structured living environment, consisting of up to six hours of group sessions daily, with weekly individual counseling and coaching sessions. A stay in residential care typically lasts about days, with some variation depending on progress made. Additionally, we offer Specialized Women’s Services (SWS), a day program for expecting mothers and mothers of small children.

Strathmore House amenities and services are designed to enhance a resident’s stay. This includes regular group sessions, individual counseling sessions, and coaching sessions with our dedicated team. We believe in the importance of continued support and accountability as individuals navigate the challenges of early recovery. Strathmore House was founded in 1992 by a group of 11 families who each had a son or daughter with disabilities aging out of school-system education and daily care.

Clients have the opportunity to attend both on-site and off-site recovery meetings, with additional support provided by our dedicated recovery team. Each client is paired with a counselor and a recovery coach to guide them through their journey. Welcome to Harbor Recovery Center (HRC), where we provide comprehensive treatment for men over the age of 18 seeking recovery from substance abuse.

Each nightly stay includes a lavish breakfast, access to our private cove, plush down feather bedding, and cozy accommodations. Please note that cell phone reception is highly limited on the Coast, and on our property. We encourage you to use this time to disconnect, though wi-fi is available as needed. The founding parents of Strathmore House envisioned an organization that would provide their sons and daughters with challenging, enjoyable, and productive work. A residential modality offers the client a structured, safe environment designed to treat the whole person, including any co-occurring disorders such as depression, anxiety, and personality disorders. Intensive outpatient consists of at least 9 hours of individual and group counseling—3 hours a day for 3 days a week, for a minimum of 6 weeks, with week course of treatment more likely. We are dedicated to empowering individuals to reclaim their lives and achieve lasting recovery. Our diverse and dedicated team are here to work diligently to ensure love, hope, and empowerment are interwoven.

Situated on a quiet residential street, the nursing center opens onto a Strathmore House Review beautiful, sunny courtyard with a shaded patio. In addition, residents and families can enjoy our pub, library and Island Lounge, which includes a Plasma TV.

At HRC, we are committed to utilizing evidence-based practices to ensure the highest quality of care for our clients. For weddings and private events, Strathmore House Inn can accommodate parties up to a total 60 guests for ceremonies in the gardens and dinner reception in our Michelin Star restaurant. Please note that a full buyout of all 11 guest rooms & cottages is required.
